Kritter

Kriter also known by Jarett has been with us for roughly 5 years of his 7 year tattoo career and we are honored to have him as a part of our family. He is born and raised here in Arizona but he travels with us to expos and does guest spot in LA a couple times a year! ( Heyyy CALI!) You probably know him for his insanely clean custom lettering and fonts, but he also has some of the nicest pepper shading we have seen. That’s not the end though, He is really looking to add more black and grey realism to his portfolio this year, so if you are interested in being a portfolio piece, let us know! Kriter has a crazy attention to detail when it comes to his tattoos, we don’t call him Krispy Krit for
no reason after all. Known for letters of all kinds, from the ankle to on the face, its going to be an amazing piece, if you are considering getting any lettering done in the near future, please take a look at his work and see if you see something you like!

FAQ

What makes black-and-white tattoos unique compared to colored tattoos?

Are black-and-white tattoos easier to maintain than colored tattoos?

Yes, black-and-white tattoos typically fade less than colored tattoos over time and require fewer touch-ups. They also tend to heal faster because they use less ink saturation compared to color.

How do shading techniques differ in black-and-white tattoos?

Shading in black-and-white tattoos is key to creating depth and texture. Techniques like stippling (dot work), smooth gradients, and whip shading are commonly used to achieve lifelike effects and intricate details.

Do black-and-white tattoos work well on all skin tones?

Yes, black ink is highly versatile and works well on all skin tones. The contrast may vary depending on skin tone, but an experienced artist will adjust the design to ensure clarity and longevity.

What designs work best for black-and-white tattoos?

Black-and-white tattoos are perfect for intricate designs, such as portraits, nature scenes, geometric patterns, and bold, graphic styles. They’re also ideal for timeless pieces like tribal or fine line art.
